Junior All-State Band
The Fourth Annual Junior All-State Band Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, January 20 and 21 at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Ft. Wayne.  The event is jointly sponsored by the Indiana Bandmasters Association (IBA) and the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA).   The finale concert will be featured on Saturday, January 21 at the 2012 IMEA Convention.  This will be an exciting opportunity for 100 outstanding students in grades seven through nine.   Any student who applies for the IBA All-Region Honor Band may submit an audition recording for the Junior All-State Band.  Students must apply to All-Region in order to audition for the Junior All-State.  Please be sure your students understand this requirement since the All-Region application deadline will occur before the Junior All-State applications are even available!  The audition music and additional information for the Junior All-State Band are currently available on the IBA website.  Applications will be available on the website beginning Monday, Sept. 19. Questions may be directed to the event co-chairs BJ Marks or David Cole.
